My Dark Room

David George

A brief essay examining the artistic appeal & challenge of photograms, the photographic equivalent of a monoprint. This marks the first time George’s images were reproduced using traditional printmaking techniques (in this case, photo-etching). Two of his original photograms were reproduced for the book: copies 1—10 contain both, while the 40 hors commerce author & publisher copies contain one or the other, as a frontis. Edition signed & numbered by George.

Set in Dante, printed in silver and black on Arches Text. Etchings printed at New Leaf Editions. Patron copies sewn into wrap with printed jacket; author & publisher copies sewn into printed blue Guarro laid wrap. 8vo, 9 pp. 2012
